“Nastasya has invested huge amounts of effort into forgetting her identity. And has fought back against the dark immortals of her past… But can she fight against true love? In the exhilarating finale to the Immortal Beloved trilogy, Nastasya ends a 450-year-old-feud and learns what ‘eternally yours’ really means…”
Eternally Yours is the explosive final instalment in Cate Tiernan’s Immortal Beloved trilogy. Readers who have been keeping up eagerly with Nastasya’s emotional and moral growth throughout Immortal Beloved and Darkness Falls are sure to love this dramatic denouement to her story.
In Eternally Yours, Nasty makes real progress when she decides to buy property in town and start her own business. What begins as a small project that increases her independence and maturity blossoms into a huge, community-led venture that builds her reputation within the town, and changes the way that everyone at River’s Edge sees her. Not everyone is as enthusiastic about her personal growth, though; word of Nastaya’s new home spreads and River’s four brothers all turn up to express their dismay and distrust at her being there. And although her motives are as genuine as always, Nastasya discovers that not all of the members from her family perished when the Icelandic house fell. Everyone must prepare themselves for battle when Immortals wielding great Terava magick come to River’s Edge to settle a centuries-old score for once and for all…
It’s a satisfying finish to one of the best trilogies I’ve read in many years. Nastasya finally shakes off the dark shackles of her former life, and her and Reyn decide once and for all if their relationship is off or on.
Bristling with magick (both kinds), great suspense and woven through with Nastasya’s dark humour, Eternally Yours more than does the first two books justice. Her strengthening of the characters and relationships shown throughout the books will surely leave readers mourning their parting from the colourful cast they have grown to love.
Cate Tiernan has already established a name for herself, but this trilogy more than solidifies her credibility in the genre, showcasing her talented storytelling ability, her intricate devotion to detail and knack for witty dialogue. Eternally Yours is a flawless finish.
Many thanks to Hodder & Stoughton for the review copy.
